PICKFORD — Ashton W. Roe
died unexpectedly from the effects
of pneumonia at 9:15 p. m. Wednesday,
Feb. 25, 1953, in his home
at Pickford. He had been ill approximately
three weeks.

Born in Howick. Canada, March
12, 1871. he and his wife, Anne,
•were married in Pickford during
1896. Mr. Roe was a member of
the Pickford Methodist Church.
Surviving .besides his wife are:
A son. Clifford and four grandchildren,
and a sister Mrs. Mary
“Watson of Iron Mountain.
The body will rest in Quinnell
yunera] Home beginning at noon
Saturday, Feb. 28.

Funeral services will be held at i
2:00 p. m. Monday. March 2. In the
Pickford Methodist Church, the
Rev. G. Hussell ofechtrieb officiating.
A hrief service will be held meet at
1:30 p. m. in the home.
Pall hearers will he Hilton Roe,
Robert Roe. William Roe. Austin
Wynn, James Batho and Lorn
Thompson.

The body will he placed in the
municipal vault in the Sault until
spring when burial will be in
Bethel Cemetery.
