John Worden Rowse, 92-year-old
Pickford pioneer,’died at his ‘home
at Pickford-Sunday/March 114.-1937,
of complications incident to old age
He had’ been’a resident of Pickford
54 years since settling there
in 1883 after coming from England.
He was born in ^England in 1844.
Surviving are his’ wife, Hannah,
whom he married in England in
1871; four daughters, Mary G.
Rowse, Mrs. Annie Roe and Mrs.
Mae -MacDonald, all of Pickford,
and Mrs. Etta Warner of Pontiac;
two. sons, Alfred G. Rowse •. arid
Worden J. Rowse, both of Sault Ste.
Marie; and two brothers, Alfred G.
Rowse;and William H. Rowse, both
of. England. •

He had been engaged In farming
during his residence here.
. He was a member of the Church
of England.

Funeral services will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the
Pickford -M-E church with Rev.
William ‘ Combellack officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel cemetery.
